Today, I went to my fourth and final "in-person" Zentangle class with, Aleesha Sattva. It was called Watercolour Class. There were three other ladies in the class (one who has attended most of the same classes as me). We brought our basic kits, and at each of our spot there was a Sakura Glaze 3D clear gloss ink pen, a watercolour waterbrush, and various sizes of pre-watercoloured white paper that Aleesha had pre-done for us, as well as, various sizes of blank white watercolour paper that we would be watercolouring. Today, I purchased a Sakura Glaze 3D clear gloss ink pen and a watercolour waterbrush. At the end of class, Aleesha very generously gave us each a Twinkling H20 to take home (I received two..yay me!)
We learned a lot today! We learned many options and techniques for watercolouring. My favourite options were the Sakura Koi Watercolour Pocket Field Sketch Box and the Twinkling H20s. I also thoroughly enjoyed creating strings using tea and wine.
It was so much fun learning to do watercolours, however, I was very sad when it was done because I would no long be able to take another "in person" class with Aleesha. Although I am very happy for her and her upcoming travels, I am sad that her creative and inspiring energy will be moving over 11,000 km away.
I have a lot of gratitude that words can't really express for the opportunities I have had over the last 3 months, and I am very excited to see how the rest of my creative journey unfolds.
On a happy note...Aleesha agreed to offer Zentangle classes via Skype once she is all settled. YAY!
